COVID-19 IS SERIOUS.
SO ARE WE.
The safety of our passengers is always our most important priority, and this awful virus is no exception.
SOCIAL DISTANCING IS IMPORTANT
We recognize that getting back to normal is not the goal, and that in order to protect our passengers and crews, we must be careful to keep six feet away when not wearing a mask. We have marked spots on the vessel that are six feet apart with large "Xs", much as you've doubtless seen at your local grocer's. While the current understanding of the virus indicates that transmission outdoors is unlikely (in fact, experts recommend we spend as much time as possible outside!), we want to go above and beyond recommendations.
MASKS AND SURFACE SANITATION
As space is limited in the cockpit, we are unable to take parties larger than four at this moment. Masks must be worn by crew and passengers when seated aft by the wheel, but there's lots of space forward on the coach roof to relax your face covering, and lots of sunshine and wind to keep things naturally disinfected. (Of course, if you prefer to wear your mask the entire time, that's fine, too!)
Crew will be happy to retrieve and serve refreshments from the cabin below. We will ask passengers to remain topside for the duration of the cruise unless they must use the restroom. (There are also facilities ashore available for use prior to departing.)
The shore restroom and head (toilet on a vessel), handrails, and other surfaces will be sanitized before every cruise. We ask all passengers to sanitize their hands before boarding; hand sanitizer will will be provided.
We are also declining to mix charter parties at this time, so whether it's just you, you and your partner, or you and three of your friends, you'll have the boat to yourselves!
